If you’re a fan of TV shows like us, you know this year has given us some incredible shows. From the ever-so-catchy Prime Video show Daisy Jones & The Six, to the hilarious Freevee production Jury Duty to the nail-biting family drama of Succession, viewers have been thoroughly entertained, regardless of the genre or the platform.
And, on July 12, the 2023 Emmy nominations were finally announced and the actors behind all these incredible shows finally received their much-deserved praise. Daisy Jones & The Six‘s Camila Morrone, for example, couldn’t contain her excitement on social media with her first-ever nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actress In A Limited Or Anthology Series Or Movie. “Happiest, most grateful human ever,” Morrone wrote on Instagram alongside pictures of her smiling from ear to ear. “I could have never expected this in my wildest dreams. Wishing I could hug every single one of my cast mates, crew, show runners, writers right now.”
The Bear‘s Ayo Edebiri also took to Instagram to celebrate her Supporting Actress In a Comedy Series nomination alongside her co-stars and fellow nominees Jeremy Allen White and Ebon Moss-Bachrach. “the greatest honor alongside the greatest crew,” the actress wrote in the caption. “no words — just innumerable thanks 🥺 lots of love. woooohoooooo :’)”

‘Succession’

In addition to being the second-most nods a series has ever scored, per Deadline, the family drama also made history by snagging three separate Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series nominations for Brian Cox, Kieran Culkin and Jeremy Strong.

‘Fleishman Is in Trouble’

The series was nominated for six Emmys including Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series, Outstanding Supporting Actress and Outstanding Lead Actress.

‘Abbott Elementary’

The show, created by Quinta Brunson, follows a group of teachers and their many ups and downs in a public school in Philadelphia.

‘Jury Duty’

In addition to Outstanding Comedy Series, the Freevee series was also nominated for Outstanding Supporting Actor, Outstanding Writing and Outstanding Casting. In a nutshell, the series follows Ronald Gladden, an innocent contractor who’s summoned to fake jury duty with actors playing the jurors, plaintiffs and even the judge.

‘The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel’

With this past season being its last, the pressure was high for nominations. Unsurprisingly, though, the Prime Video show received a whopping 14 nominations, including Outstanding Comedy Series, Outstanding Lead Actress and Outstanding Directing.

‘Better Call Saul’

‘The Bear’

‘Ted Lasso’

Among the nominations from the show, which tells the story of a Southern coach (Jason Sudeikis) moving to the U.K. to coach soccer, were Outstanding Comedy Series, Outstanding Lead Actor, two Outstanding Supporting Actor nods and three separate Outstanding Guest Actress nominations.

‘Only Murders in the Building’

‘Yellowjackets’

‘House of the Dragon’

‘The Last of Us’

The show follows the story of a survivor of a global fatal pandemic as he takes in a 14-year-old girl.

‘The Crown’

‘The White Lotus’
